Eligibility and Selection Process

 

• ​The IOAI Singapore Team selection trials are open to all high school students. While everyone is welcome to participate in the selection process, only Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents can be selected to represent Singapore in the IOAI. Contestants must be enrolled in high school and under 20 years old on the first day of the IOAI.
   

• The selection process involves multiple stages.
   

  1. National Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (NOAI):  AI Singapore, in collaboration with NTU, will organize the inaugural NOAI in 2025. Top performers from NOAI will be nominated to participate in the IOAI Singapore Team selection test.
      

  2. Selection Test and Training:  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a selection round to determine the potential members of the IOAI Singapore Team. Selected candidates will undergo weekend training sessions and a one-week residential camp at NTU.
      

  3. International Competition:  The top-performing students will form two teams, each comprising four contestants, to represent Singapore at the IOAI competition. They will compete against the best AI talents from around the globe.
